No one knows about persian Cats by Bahman Ghobadi

When I was first told about this film, I was a bit reluctant. I have not been as exposed to Persian cinema as much as I would have liked. The first thing that popped into my head was, "I'd rather be doing something else." I was of course dragged to the film. When the movie started, I knew I was going to love it.

The Film follows a boy and a girl trying to start a indie rock band in Tehran, though they want to leave and go to Europe. They play in a band called, "Take it easy Hospital" which actually exists. They don't have a passport, so they contact a man who promises them two tickets out of Iran. They travel throughout Iran, looking for more band members. They meet several different bands whose music resembles, "The strokes", "Interpol", "AC DC", we even meet a scremo band! I won't give away the rest, but seriously GO SEE IT!!
